Porn actress turned teacher fired from job

An Oxnard, California, middle school science teacher was fired after students and faculty discovered pornographic video of her online. The teacher appealed, claiming the incident occurred before she became a teacher.

OXNARD, Calif -- A California middle school science teacher lost her job after students learned she had been featured in pornographic movies.

Stacie Halas appealed her firing in an attempt to get her job. The 32-year-old teacher was fired in April from her job the Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard when online videos over pornographic films were Found by both students and teachers.

In a 46 page decision issued Friday by the Commission on Professional Competence, the three-member panel denied the appeal stating that even though her nine-month career in the porn industry occurred before she began teaching. Halas' attorney said his client was being honest but was embarrassed by her career and the adult film industry.

Students claim that she was moonlighting as a porn star, but those charges were dismissed when school officials failed to find any pornographic images of her when the Internet. Teachers, however, downloaded Halas' porn videos on their smart phones and presented them to administrators.

When rumors of her performances became common knowledge someone wrote a profanity when the teachers window. District Superintendent, Jeff Chancer supported the decision of the commission in upholding the teacher firing.
